Volunteer with Scouts: Whatever your background, identity or ability, there’s a volunteer spot with your name on it.
Volunteering’s not just about giving back – it goes both ways. It improves your wellbeing, gives you skills for the future, and helps you make new friends (and memories).
Whether you want to work with young people directly or help behind the scenes, there's something for everyone at Scouts.
We're always looking for volunteers for most roles: section leaders, trustees, helpers, and much more.
We're also currently looking for the following specific roles:
Central to everything we do, Lead Volunteers are our inspirational facilitators, supporting our teams in making sure everything at Scouts is fun, safe and inclusive.
The main responsibilities of the role are to:
Create a positive team environment
Ensure the safe delivery of Scouting
Help volunteers find what they need
Attract and welcome new volunteers
You can find out more about what's involved here:

The role can be done as an individual or by a team as a role share.
Please contact Joshua: lead@southamptoncityscouts.org.uk if you would like to express interest.

We’re looking for safe pairs of hands, ‘i’ dotters and ‘t’ crossers. Sound like you?
As Chair of the Board of Trustees, you’ll look after a dynamic team working together to make Scouts operate like a well-oiled machine. From managing money to checking meeting places are in tip-top condition, you’ll make sure everything is set up properly, so that young people have the best experience in Scouts. Trustees see the big picture, make decisions and work together.
As a team, you’ll ensure that everything’s being done safely and legally, as well as connecting Scouts with your local community. Oh, and it’s fine if you’ve not been a Trustee before. We’ll support you, making sure you learn everything you need to know, as you go.
Please contact Rob: 14th-lead@southamptoncityscouts.org.uk if you would like to express interest.
